In this project, we had to teach what we taught in our "Computers Presentation," but we had to use a multimedia tool. In this project, I learned about the different tools that can be used. I was quite shocked about the different things I can do. Such as a poster, a video, a talking person, or possibly a "fakebook" if you are teaching a historical figure.
In this multimedia project, I incorporated math. I am teaching someone math with a video. This is just like my Algebra teacher who makes videos and posts them on www.flippedoveralgebra.weebly.com. Also, this is what they do on Khan Academy. Since I was teaching a math concept; there is no way where I could use a poster or a book. Therefore, I decided to make a video using GoAnimate. |
Computers Presentation
In computers, we had to create a presentation using presentation software. I used Microsoft PowerPoint. For this presentation, we had to present to a group of students in our class. This presentation was not supposed to be longer than 2-3 minutes, and we had to teach something to the other kids in your group. In this project, I learned about what the other kids in my class presented. A few of them were how to use Google Drive, how to build bottle rockets, and one of them on Joan Of Arc. I learned about these presentations, and I also improved by presentation skills by presenting to a group of students.
Last year at my old school, We would have to present a presentation in front of the entire class about every three weeks. I had gained a lot of experience last year. This year, this is my first presentation in front of a group of students. To do this project, I used Microsoft PowerPoint. All the animations and transitions I used, I learned last year by myself by experimenting what each of the things do.

Power Searching with Google
In this course, we had to watch videos created by Google to teach people how to use google more efficiently. I learned how to use Google better. Just spending an hour total, We were able to master how to use Google better.
We also use computers in other classes, so this comes in very useful when we have to look for something. For example, we had to search and look for the egg in a bottle trick in science. For this we just had to take notes on the videos, and we needed headphones.

My Digital Life
The certificate you see on the right was earned by completing My Digital Life. In My Digital Life, we learned about how people abuse technology; we also learned how technology is incorporated in our lives. In My Digital Life, I learned how not to abuse technology and how we can use it positively.
We used snipping tools to get this photo onto our digital portfolio. Also, we use digital responsibility in our Core classes by using Collaborize Classroom.
