One of my favorite moments was most likely when we found out we where going to place for battle bots. Ever since we were working on robots for tournament of technology, we though that the line follower was going to win, and the battle bot was going to lose. We were far from right, in fact it is the other way around. The line follower wasn't even close to winning. It was somewhere around last. On the other hand, the battle bot got third. When we were building our battle bot, we all made precautions against one-another's battle bots. We all had similar battle bots except for one. This one had a lifting mechanism. This one did not do very well. When it tried to lift a robot, it would tilt forward, and it would give the other team the advantage of pushing the opposing team out of the ring.
First thing we did when we got to the actual robotics tournament was go and look at everyone's robot and we would make a guess on how they would place. For the most part, we our guesses where right. Corbin, Prabhmeet, and I all realized that we were going to place for battle bots, and we did. the tricky part is that everyone is going to copy and improve our idea. We can either build off of our design or we can make a totally new design from scratch. I guess we will find out next year!
