I think I would stay where I am if I am a hunter-gather, and I have found a good place to live. I know 100% that this place is a good place to live, but I am not sure how and what type of plants there will be one month from now. There may be places with lots of good land, and abundant food. I would stay, and I would not go on. What happens if it is a dry desert. Then I would be screwed, and it would take me forever to find my way back. I would not be one to take such a risk that may make my life much more easier than it is right now, or possibly the chance that I will be as dry as the Sahara Desert and I will die. If I am in a good area and there is abundant food, why would we continue to travel? It makes no sense.

It's like I have a nice 2 story house, and I gamble my house. I may end up with a mansion, or I may end up with a trash can to live in. I would never take such a risk. It would be one of the worst mistakes in my life. If the odds aren't in my favor; I won't travel, but if I am dying in a desert, then I will travel. It's one of 3 things: I die here doing nothing, I die traveling, or I do not die, and I make my way out of the desert. Why would I not try if there is a chance of survival. I stay firm in my decision to stay where I am, and I decide not to move on.
