The Scientific Revolution is one of the most important times in the history of mankind. This is when we all of sudden learn about science and we make discoveries. This led to a better understanding of the world. We made many scientific discoveries during the Scientific Revolution. A few would be learning that the Sun was at the center of the universe, and not the Earth. Galileo and Copernicus discovered this. They went against what Aristotle, the Greek thinker, said.

A man during the 1600s said that the Earth was not at the universe, and he was burned at the stake. Therefore, Galileo was very careful about what he wrote and said. Since he was friends with the Pope, he was not burned at the stake, instead; he was put under house arrest for 10 years. During this time, Galileo still made discoveries, and he wrote his last book. His book was smuggled to Poland where it was later published.
